About this Collection:
This smaller collection is inspired by cozy nights out. The lights are low, there’s jazz playing in the background, there’s a drink in your hand that comes in an oddly specific glass, the folks at the next table have their heads bent towards each other in a conspiratorial hush - no one wants to break the spell of the evening.
The actual reference photo that inspired this piece comes from cocktail hour of a wedding that I attended with my boyfriend. It was the first wedding I’ve ever been to where I knew neither the bride, nor the groom. After quite a bit of mingling, Adam pulled me off to the side of the room to have a quiet moment just the two of us. We happened to be standing at an angle where I could see from behind the bar, with skylights above, making the colorful bottles glow. As we stood there, Adam’s arms around me, I remember realizing that this was a man who I could be quiet and simply exist with - and for someone who talks as much as I do - that was a revelation. Instead of running my mouth, prattling on with an anecdote, I was quiet enough to observe the choreography of the bartender and appreciate those colorful bottles.
